According to [internet] sources, Millions Now Living Will Never Die are one of the albums in the book 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die.  Frankly, I can see why.  Discovering this in my roommates collection, which is so easily accessible from my room, I decided to give it a spin because my boyfriend is a big fan of Tortoise.  I was in the process of giving one of my five dogs a haircut and bath when I started this record.  The intro to the first track Djed reeled me in with it's deep bass sounds projecting and vibrating through my speakers.  As you are almost paralyzed listening to this record, I think of all the post-rock bands I have listened to throughout my journey of this blog and I have to say, this record is probably one of my top five.  Something about surprises that surprise me and it's obvious that if I hear a record for the first time and give it a second listed, it will be one of the top twelve records once I am done with this blog.  Needless to say, the dynamics of Tortoise, the sound of this album is worth it.

Enjoy!
