This record is a very interesting one, to say the least.  A friend of mine from back home (South Florida) told me his grandfather gave him this record but he did not know what to do with it so he asked me if I wanted it.  He said it was from Argentina and it's an Elvis Presley record, so I told him to send it on over.  Much to my surprise, when I opened the package, I saw that it was in SPANISH.  I was talking with my co-workers about how excited I was to play this because, I thought, Elvis was going to sing in Spanish.  When I got home, I immediately put on the record and began to laugh.  It was sung in English.  I was only slightly disappointed, but got over it real quick as each track ended and another one started.  What more can you ask for than this rare gem and having Elvis' hits on one record.  I love, love, love this record.  So I thank my friend back in Miami for not only thinking of me because he had a record he did not know what to do with, but for adding to my collection this really great record.

Enjoy!

My Babe

From the small town of San Marcus, Texas on a farm that borders on L.B.J.  Roy burst open the hit charts so quickly that it took just four weeks for a bright-eyed eager Texas boy to become know throughout the country and most of the world.

A surprising pick my my roommate, upon playing this album, I felt like I wanted to listen to something with a little swing and this record hit the spot.  Listening and dancing to music are two things that I love, but when you know that something is so genuine as a little Texas swing, it makes you feel good about where music comes from.  Roy Head, a Texas native, is from a little town of San Marcus, which is about 20 minutes-ish from Austin.  Exploring music from a state that I currently reside in makes me appreciate how so many different genres and talents exist in the world.  From the 60's to today!

Enjoy!!

Not A Second Time

The second album by the illustrious UK band The Beatles, Meet The Beatles is probably one of the best albums ever.  This fearsome foursome, in their early twenties, dominated the airwaves with their music and caused the music industry to change FOREVER.  When listening to this album, I don't know how I would've reacted to listening to such an amazing sound in 1964.  I probably would've reacted like everyone else and just mesmerized by The Beatles.  There is a lot to say about such an amazing, but nothing could even come close to how much of an impact they have made.  Songs like I Want To Hold Your Hand, All My Loving, shoot, ALL THESE SONGS ARE JUST SO AMAZING and let's not forget to add that they put you in such a great mood.  I got home last night from a very exhausting day and I put this on and I instantly transformed into a loving mood.  It's hard, for me at least, to write a review on this, so just listen to it!

Enjoy!
